In China, CNY is a time for the whole extended family to get together to eat, drink, smoke cigarettes, and light off fireworks. All of these are done in excess. I was lucky enough to be invited to the big family dinner by one of our Chinese colleagues. When it comes to the 团会 “tuan hui”, literally “team event”, the Shanghainese don’t mess around.
After hours of being both force-fed and obligatory "cheersing", defeated

25 people (4 over 90 years old, 2 under 2 years old)

5 bottles red wine

65 packs of cigarettes!!!

Where is rap headed these days? Is there a clear “best” rapper? Long gone are the days of East Coast v.West Coast titans…. we are left with an industry with little allegiance to anything but $$$$.
